Joseph C. North is a licensed General Contractor and construction consultant with more than three decades of experience in insurance restoration, property damage assessment, and building remediation. As the qualifying agent and founder of Northland Construction & Consulting Firm, LLC, Joseph brings a deep technical background and hands-on expertise to his consulting work with CC Intl.
Throughout his career, Joseph has managed complex residential and commercial restoration projects involving hurricanes, floods, fires, and structural damage. He is certified in mold remediation (CMR00559) and has extensive experience in estimating, policy appraisal, and dispute resolution. His leadership across multiple licensed construction and restoration firms (CGC059628, CGC1514791) has earned him a reputation for precision, integrity, and fairness.

John F. Bruns IV is a licensed General Contractor and seasoned insurance professional specializing in expert witness testimony, appraisal, and umpire services. With over three decades of experience in the insurance and construction industries, John brings a unique combination of technical knowledge and practical field expertise to complex property and casualty disputes.
As a Licensed Florida All Lines Claims Adjuster and General Contractor (CGC1527893), John has built a reputation for delivering objective, detail-oriented evaluations in both residential and commercial property matters. His background includes handling catastrophe claims, supervising teams of adjusters, and working closely with attorneys, insurers, and policyholders.
John’s extensive hands-on experience, from investigating hurricane losses to leading appraisal proceedings, positions him as a trusted, unbiased professional who helps resolve disputes with fairness and accuracy.
Steve Berman

Steve Berman is a licensed Florida General Contractor (CGC024735) and former CEO of Rapid Response Team, where he led Florida’s largest insurance restoration contractor from 2016 to 2022. With more than 35 years in construction, real estate development, and insurance restoration, Steve has extensive experience managing large-scale property repair operations, HUD housing projects, and commercial developments across the Southeast.
A licensed insurance adjuster, home inspector, and certified mold remediator, Steve has served as a corporate representative and expert witness for over a decade, providing testimony on property damage, repair costs, and construction methodologies. Known for his meticulous site inspections and proficiency in Xactimate estimating, Steve brings both technical precision and leadership insight to every project he undertakes.
Joe Hernandez
EXPERT CONSULTANT
Joe Hernandez is a highly respected claims consultant, roofing expert, and home inspector with nearly five decades of experience serving Florida’s residential and commercial property markets. Licensed as a Roofing Contractor since 1977 and statewide since 1987 (CCC-042809), Joe also holds an active Home Inspector license (HI-4444) with more than 20 years of inspection experience. His background spans roof repairs, full roof replacements, wood replacement, insurance mitigations, and comprehensive property evaluations.
Joe began his career with leading roofing firms in Miami-Dade and Broward counties before founding and leading multiple successful companies, including All Star Roofing, AKG Inspection Services, and AKG Roofing & Specialty Services. Known statewide for his technical knowledge, accuracy, and integrity, Joe personally supervises every project and remains readily available to clients. His hands-on approach as a consultant with CCI ensures precise evaluations, dependable consulting, and trusted guidance throughout every claim or inspection process.
